Follow along with me on my journey in life. With this blog I will attempt to share some of the wonderful events taking place in my life and share some of my thoughts.
All around Warsaw & Łazienki Park
This morning, we did not leave the house until about noon, Zbigniew and I both had a little work to do, and I had problems getting my photos uploaded to my website and I had to make that work. Eventually I discovered the problem and I was off and running.
We took the train from Brwinów to Warsaw this morning for some more touring and to meet up with Agnieszka after her work. On the train I noticed that the GPS in the camera was not acquiring sattelites. Ths would be a problem for a while. for some reason it locked up, and I discovered that if I turned off the the GPS and turned it back on, everything worked fine. OK, I thought 2 down.... one to go. What would be my next problem? :)
Zbigniew and I stopped at Agnieszka's work to drop off my bags (I would stay at Agnieszka's home that day. We walked around Warsaw some more and I must say again I am amazed at the changes in Warsaw!
Some of the places we saw were the Palace of Culture (in the above photo), Embassies, A mall with interesting architecture.
We met with Agnieszka after her work and went to a Czech restaurant to enjoy some fantastic food. I don't think there was a moment that we were not laughing... always cracking jokes. What a wonderful time. Afer dinner we went to Łazienki Park (one of my favorites) We ran into a very friendly red squirrel that was brave enough to start climbing up my leg. There were beautful peacocks. It was a little bit cool, so the park was not crowded and that made for a much more relaxing walk through the park.
My day was ended by going to Agnieszka's home. Zbigniew went back to Brwinów, but I will see him again tomorrow. I had a bigger test of my Polish tonight because Agnieszka's English is limited, but as it turned out, I did just fine and the few times when something was not understood, the dictionary solved the problem. We stayed up late talking about family and our rich family history.
