Obituary; Napoleon Crochier, Sr.
Millers Falls - Napoleon J. Crochier, Sr., 75, of 22 Newton Street, died Monday at Farren Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Holyoke on March 31, 1889, he was the son of Peter and Esther (Viens) Crochier.He lived in South Deerfield for many years before coming here 22 years ago. He was a truck driver for Carroll Trucking here for many years and worked for the Millers Falls Co. for a year before retiring in 1956.
He leaves his widow, Mrs Ovilina (Bleau) Crochier; three sons, Edward of Montague City, Napoleon, Jr., and George, both of Greenfield; two daughters, Mrs Esther Wojnar and Mrs Ovilina Napikoski, both of Millers Falls; 20 grand children;two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Louis of Southampton and William of Holyoke; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 8:30 am. from Kostanski Funeral Home, Turners Falls, with Requiem High Mass at 9 in St. Jonh's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Turners Falls. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tonight from 7 - 9 and Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9
