His legal & batismal name is Stansilaw Casimir Buyeske. He was nicknamed Georgie by his sisters. The nickname took over until his real name was forgotten. While he was stationed at Fort Bliss during World War I, an army clerk changed his name from Byeske to Buyske. George was advised to let the mistake stand as it would create too much confusion with hi Army rcords to have it corrected.
